Although, contrary to expectation

Meaning

Used when the result goes against what one would normally expect from the first part of the sentence.

Formation

  1. Plain form + のに: 飲んだのに
  2. Nouns and na-adjectives take な: 日曜日なのに, 静かなのに
  3. No request, order or invitation in the second clause

くすり飲んのんのにまだあたま痛いいたいです

Even though I took medicine, my head still hurts.
