すぎる

Too much, excessively

Meaning

Shows that an action or quality goes beyond a normal amount. It is used with verbs and adjectives.

Formation

  1. Verb: drop ます: 食べます → 食べすぎる
  2. Adjective: drop い or な: 高い → 高すぎる
  3. いい → よすぎる, ない → なさすぎる

When to use it

This bag is too expensive.
