Have someone do it for me

Meaning

Shows that the speaker receives a favor or help from someone else.

Formation

  1. て form + もらう: 書いてもらいました
  2. The doer takes に: 先生に書いてもらいました

I had the teacher write my name for me.

Important notes

  • Pay attention to the word form before the construction and to the particles around it.
